Warner Bros. Korea announced on the 27th that the release of the movie 'Dune: Part 2,' which was postponed due to the Hollywood Writers Guild strike, is scheduled for February next year.
'Dune: Part 2' is an action blockbuster in which Paul (Timoth?e Chalamet), who realizes and awakens his abilities, embarks on a journey of revenge and discovers his destiny as a warrior. The first film, released in 2021, earned $402 million (approximately 522.3 billion KRW) worldwide.
The following year, at the 94th Academy Awards, it was nominated in 10 categories including Best Picture, winning six awards in visual effects, art direction, sound, music, cinematography, and editing.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the film stars Timoth?e Chalamet along with Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, Christopher Walken, Stephen Henderson, L?a Seydoux, Stellan Skarsg?rd, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem.
