Exhibition at Seoul City Hall Haneul Plaza Gallery from November 21 to December 7
The Seoul City Photography Club (President Kim Jin-man) will hold a photo exhibition at the Sky Plaza Gallery on the 8th floor of Seoul City Hall from November 21 to December 7.
Under the theme "Drawing You in My Heart," this exhibition is the 13th regular members' exhibition. Twenty members (13 current, 7 retired) are participating, presenting 31 works capturing beautiful landscapes and the wonders of nature from Seoul and other domestic and international locations.
Founded in 1989, the Seoul City Photography Club is composed of current and former Seoul city officials. Through shared hobbies, senior and junior officials strengthen bonds, improve the rigid image of the public service, and contribute significantly to Seoul's development by performing creative and proactive administrative duties.
The fruits of their continuous efforts, capturing everyday urban life, nature, and scenery that might otherwise be overlooked in busy daily routines through their camera lenses, are vividly reflected in each piece of this exhibition.
Kim Jin-man, President and Seoul City Digital Policy Officer, encouraged the members who worked hard on club activities and exhibition preparations during the opening remarks, saying, "I hope not only Seoul city officials but also many citizens visit the exhibition as an outing to enjoy the beautiful nature and landscapes depicted in the works and have a pleasant time."
The members who submitted works to this exhibition unanimously stated, "Although our works may lack artistic quality, our interest and passion for photography are no less than those of famous photographers," and expressed their ambition, "We will strive to have more members participate and showcase diverse works in next year's exhibition."
Professor Bae Byung-soo, who mentors the Seoul City Photography Club, said, "Any shortcomings in artistic quality are partly due to my insufficient guidance," and added, "Let's work together to produce higher-quality works next year."
The exhibition is open on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Visitors are advised to use the dedicated elevator (No. 11) to the Sky Plaza Gallery at Seoul City Hall.
