Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 26th that it will hold a policy forum on "Public Housing Innovation (Activation of the Post-Construction Sales System)" on the 30th at the main conference hall of the National Assembly Members' Office Building in Yeouido, Seoul, together with Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the National Assembly from the People Power Party, Kim Byung-joo, a member of the National Assembly from the Democratic Party, and the Korean Local Administration Association.
This forum was organized to promote the advantages of the post-construction sales system, which is highly effective in preventing poor construction, and to explore ways to activate related systems for the public who have been experiencing anxiety due to incidents such as the rebar omission scandal.
At the forum, presentations will first be given on topics such as "The Public Role in Activating the Post-Construction Sales System" by Oh Jung-seok, senior researcher at SH Corporation, and "Expert Perception Survey on the Post-Construction Sales System" by Kim Sun-joo, professor at Kyonggi University. Following this, a panel discussion will be held with Kim Hyun-soo, professor at Dankook University, as the chairperson, featuring six experts from various fields in real estate.
Kim Heon-dong, president of SH Corporation, stated, "To regain the trust of the public who are worried due to incidents like the rebar omission scandal, public housing developers must introduce the post-construction sales system, which is effective in preventing poor construction." He added, "Based on this trust, SH Corporation will take the lead in efforts to expand the post-construction sales system, including proposing improvements to the system."
