Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) received a donation of 10 million KRW from Jeongsang Corporation (CEO Lee Jung-oh) for local children and youth in need of care.
According to Seo-gu on the 24th, this donation was collected recently by Jeongsang Corporation in lieu of congratulatory flower wreaths and rice when relocating their office, and it will be used to improve the welfare of children and youth in the district who require care.
Lee Jung-oh, CEO of Jeongsang Corporation, said, "I am pleased to be able to provide some help to the children and youth in Seo-gu through this donation, and I will continue to collaborate with Seo-gu to work on public-private partnership projects and contribute to the development of welfare in Seo-gu."
Kim Ikang, Mayor of Seo-gu, said, "I sincerely thank CEO Lee Jung-oh of Jeongsang Corporation and Kim Jin-gon, Secretary General of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, for their generous support for the residents of Seo-gu. Our district will also spare no effort to support local children with the precious donation."
Meanwhile, Jeongsang Corporation was selected as a ‘Sharing Excellence Company’ by the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea on the 6th. The ‘Sharing Excellence Company’ is a representative high-donation program in Korea for companies that have donated over 100 million KRW or pledged donations within three years.
