Lee Dae-ho and Kkwa-chu-hyung at Dong-A University! ... 'Guest Lecture by Notable Figures' Held

Dong-A University held the ‘2023 Celebrity Invitation Special Lecture’ event, organized by the Student Council and the University Job Plus Center.

The event, held over two days on the 21st and 22nd at Seunghak Campus Rein Hall, Newton Park, and Bumin Campus Kim Gwan-eum Hall, featured famous personalities such as Pyo Chang-won, Director of the Crime Science Research Institute, YouTuber Gwedo (Kim Jae-hyeok), former Lotte Giants baseball player Lee Dae-ho, and YouTuber and Director Hong Seong-woo, known as ‘Kkwachu-hyung’.

On the first day, the 21st, Pyo Chang-won, Korea’s leading criminologist and crime analyst, gave a lecture titled ‘Modern Society and Criminal Psychology.’

Earlier, Gwedo (Kim Jae-hyeok), a science creator and communicator active on broadcasting and online platforms as the host of the YouTube channel ‘Andoel Science,’ delivered a lecture titled ‘What Use Is Science Communication?’

On the second day, the 22nd, former baseball player Lee Dae-ho, known as the ‘Cleanup Hitter of Joseon,’ met the audience with a lecture titled ‘The Challenge Has Not Ended.’

Following him, Director Hong Seong-woo, famous as the YouTuber ‘Kkwachu-hyung,’ gave a lecture titled ‘Unknown Facts About Urology and Sexuality ? Urology for University Students.’

In addition to the special lectures, the event featured performances by clubs such as Streets, Garion, Echoes of Song, and The Joker, as well as booths on beauty, health, lifestyle, and employment. Campaigns promoting blood donation, drug eradication, and plogging were also conducted.

Kang Ki-dong, President of the Student Council, said, “It was great to hold meaningful events such as special lectures and campaigns for the students,” adding, “It was even more rewarding because many students participated.”
