Upsell announced on the 23rd that it has recruited Jang Sung-wook as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
New CFO Jang Sung-wook graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Aesthetics and earned a master's degree from the Graduate School of Business at the same university. He has held key positions related to sales and trading at major securities firms, including Samsung Life Insurance Investment Division and Mirae Asset Securities, achieving notable results.
Based on his diverse experience in investment and finance, CFO Jang Sung-wook will oversee Upsell's management planning, accounting, finance, investor relations (IR), and procurement, accelerating Upsell's challenge toward an initial public offering (IPO).
Joo Ji-hyun, CEO of Upsell, stated, "The recruitment of CFO Jang Sung-wook will strengthen our efforts to enhance Upsell's corporate value and systematize financial management."
Upsell is a domestic startup based on induced pluripotent stem cell technology. Utilizing next-generation stem cell technology, induced pluripotent stem cells, it produces stem cell lines derived from both healthy individuals and patients, and provides a disease modeling platform service that can replace animal testing. It is a biotechnology company building various diagnostic and therapeutic pipelines, including stem cell-based drug development.
