Korea Investment Financial Group announced on the 23rd that it has appointed top executives through the boards of directors of its group affiliates. The focus was on maintaining stability and continuity in management performance while swiftly responding to changes in the financial environment and seeking changes in growth strategies.
Jung Il-moon, who has led Korea Investment & Securities for the past five years, was appointed Vice Chairman of Securities, and Kim Sung-hwan, Head of the Individual Customer Group (Vice President), was promoted to CEO of Securities. At Korea Investment Savings Bank, Jeon Chan-woo, Head of the Retail Business Division (Executive Director), was promoted to CEO.
Kim Sung-hwan, appointed as the new CEO of Korea Investment & Securities, was born in 1969. After working at LG Investment & Securities, he joined Korea Investment & Securities in 2004. He is recognized for his expertise and experience across all areas of financial investment, having overseen project finance (PF), bond management, corporate finance (IB), management planning, and retail.
Jeon Chan-woo, appointed as CEO of Korea Investment Savings Bank, was born in 1970 and joined Korea Investment Savings Bank in 2001. He has accumulated experience in savings bank sales, products, and overall planning. He is known for his deep understanding of the essence of the savings bank business, having directly developed key industry revenue sources such as Stock Loan and Farm Loan.
A representative of Korea Investment Financial Group explained, "This appointment focused on taking a step forward in growth by paying attention to the long-term trends and directions of change rather than the uncertainties faced in the difficult internal and external environment." Final appointments of the group’s top executives and other executive personnel will be conducted according to the management decision schedules of each affiliate.
