Chosun Hotel & Resort Launches "1792 Full Proof" 3-Variety Sampler

Chosun Hotel & Resort announced on the 23rd that it will launch a sampler allowing customers to compare and taste three types of the premium bourbon whiskey ‘1792 Full Proof’ Single Barrel, released as the Chosun Hotel Edition, at each hotel lounge and bar.

The three types of ‘1792 Full Proof Single Barrel Chosun Hotel Edition,’ released last October, were jointly planned by beverage experts and bartenders from each hotel: Westin Chosun Seoul, Westin Chosun Busan, Grand Chosun Busan, and Jeju.

Among a total of nine oak barrel samples selected by Danny Khan, Master Distiller of the ‘Barton 1792’ distillery that produces 1792 Full Proof, one single barrel was curated by bartenders from each hotel, resulting in three single barrels: ‘1792 Full Proof Westin Chosun Seoul,’ ‘1792 Full Proof Westin Chosun Busan,’ and ‘1792 Full Proof Grand Chosun.’ Although all three Chosun Hotel Editions were distilled and barreled in October 2015 and underwent the same aging period of approximately 7 years and 10 months, each possesses distinct aromas and flavors. Each bottle is adorned with an image symbolizing the respective hotel and a golden label, adding a special touch.

The sampler is available at the Westin Chosun Seoul Lounge & Bar, Westin Chosun Busan’s Panorama Lounge and Okims, and Grand Chosun Busan’s Lounge & Bar. The price is 48,000 KRW at Westin Chosun Seoul and Grand Chosun Busan, and 64,000 KRW at Westin Chosun Busan, where it is served as a set with finger food.

In line with this, the American contemporary dining restaurant ‘Nine’s Gate’ at Westin Chosun Seoul will hold a ‘Whiskey Pairing Dinner’ on the 30th at 6 p.m. to celebrate the launch of the 1792 Full Proof Single Barrel Chosun Hotel Edition. The dinner will be arranged so that guests can attend a whiskey class by the 1792 brand ambassador, compare and taste four types of bourbon whiskey including 1792 Full Proof and the three Chosun Hotel Editions, and enjoy a chef’s special six-course meal paired with the whiskeys.
