Busan Office of Education Hosts 'Busan Education Festival Embracing Tomorrow'

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the ‘2023 Busan Education Festival Embracing Tomorrow’ event for three days starting from the 27th at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 2 in Haeundae-gu, targeting students, parents, teachers, and citizens to share the achievements of Busan education this year.


This event is designed to share the achievements and changed directions of Busan education this year and will be operated as an educational festival involving the educational community including students, parents, teachers, and citizens.


Under the slogan ‘Busan Education Embracing Korean Education,’ the event will be divided into three sessions: Busan Education Policy Hall, Research School Hall, and Busan Education Special Hall. Various performances and events will also be prepared.


At the ‘Busan Education Policy Hall,’ during the event period, on the 1st and 3rd floor meeting rooms, Busan education policy forums, education empathy concerts, special lectures on education policy services for parents, and performance report meetings will be held.


Through these, participants can share and discuss Busan education achievements, deepen their understanding of education policies, and obtain useful information about their children’s education.


The Busan education policy forum, parent special lectures, and basic academic skills pilot school communication empathy talks will be broadcast live on the city education office’s YouTube channel.

The ‘Research School Hall’ and ‘Busan Education Special Hall’ will be operated on the 28th and 29th for two days on the 1st floor exhibition hall. The Research School Hall consists of 97 schools and 61 booths, among which 23 booths are experience booths featuring flash mob dance, metaverse, VR, special effects filming, and more.


The Busan Education Special Hall will operate 14 experience programs on themes such as academic achievement improvement, character education, and future education.


Additionally, diverse ‘student performances’ such as multicultural team performances including traditional Korean music and orchestra, ‘Visiting Performance Dream’ including hip-hop, dance, and magic, and choir will be held.


Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “I hope this event will be a cornerstone for Busan education to leap forward into realizing dreams as reality by leading the growth of our students and the communication and harmony of the educational community.”
