Woongjin ThinkBig and Udemy Launch 'Coding Festival' to Support Programming Beginners

Woongjin ThinkBig's global education platform 'Udemy' announced on the 23rd that it will conduct a coding education project called the 'Coding Festival.'

This project is an online mentoring program designed to help beginners such as job seekers aspiring to become developers, university students, teenagers, and non-developer professionals get started with coding. Nine programming-related influencers, including Jokoding, Codinghaneungeoni, and Bbanghyeong's Development Third World, will serve as tutors.

The program consists of a total of 10 sessions, including three 'Live Talk' sessions and seven 'Practice Projects.' During the Live Talk sessions, participants can freely converse with influencers to gain information on the latest IT trends, learning roadmaps, and developer job preparation. In the Practice Projects, participants can create games, applications, and websites together with the tutor assigned to each session.

Participants can choose between the 'Festival All-Access Pass,' which allows free participation in all programs, and the 'One-Day (1DAY) Ticket,' which grants access to a single session. Customers who purchase the Festival All-Access Pass will receive VOD access to unlimited viewing of recordings of all 10 sessions and will be entered into a drawing to win prizes such as an iPad Pro and AirPods Max.

The Coding Festival will be held for three weeks from the 30th of this month to December 21st. Tickets can be purchased through 'Eventus,' a customized event support platform that connects event hosts and participants.

Park Min-gyu, head of Woongjin ThinkBig's Udemy Business Division, said, "The program is designed to enable participants to implement games and chatbots in a short period, allowing them to use these projects in their employment portfolios," adding, "It is a practical solution for prospective developers who need hands-on programming experience and expert advice."
