The National Quality Management Conference is an event that honors companies and individuals who have contributed to enhancing national industrial competitiveness by achieving outstanding results through quality innovation activities. The award evaluates seven comprehensive categories: leadership, strategic planning, customers and market, measurement, analysis and knowledge management, human resources, operations management, and business performance, and grants the Presidential Award, the Grand Prize, to groups that have achieved excellence.

Lotte World was recognized for its innovative achievements including 'three major management strategies for sustainable management,' 'securing a leading system in the online and offline entertainment sector,' 'flexible organizational culture,' 'systematic and fair human resource management,' and 'ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) management through more than 80 initiatives.'

A representative achievement is operating a theme park for 34 years since 1989 and recently establishing Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi in Vietnam in August, aiming to become a global entertainment company. Recently, it has been expanding content by collaborating with various industries such as webtoons, games, performances, food and beverage (F&B), and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) within the theme park.

In organizational operations, it established a 'human resource management strategy' to foster excellent talent, strengthen professional capabilities, support work engagement, and improve organizational culture. Additionally, to promote a horizontal and flexible organizational culture, it regularly holds 'World Watsuda,' where the CEO and MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) employees freely communicate, and strengthened communication programs such as 'Loti Hall Meeting,' where executives and employees discuss topics selected by employees in a horizontal manner.

Furthermore, in March 2021, it was the first in the industry to declare ESG management, setting keywords for each area: 'Green' for environment, 'Together' for social, and 'Fairness' for governance, and is implementing detailed initiatives accordingly.

Choi Hong-hoon, CEO of Lotte World, said, "We are pleased that Lotte World, a global comprehensive entertainment company, has become the first in the industry to receive the National Quality Award Grand Prize in the group category," adding, "We will continue to provide new experiences in various ways in line with social demands."
