E1·KLPGA 'Charity Fund Donation'

Support for Jo Seong Protection Facility at E1 Charity Open
E1 80 million KRW, KLPGA 35 million KRW

Eco-friendly energy company E1 and the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) supported vulnerable groups.

On the 22nd, KLPGA announced that it had delivered the charity funds raised during the KLPGA Tour E1 Charity Open held last May to child and youth protection facilities. Energy company E1, which hosted the tournament, contributed 80 million KRW, and KLPGA added 35 million KRW to create the charity fund. Kim Soon-mi, KLPGA Senior Vice President, Jeon Jin-man, Head of External Cooperation at E1, and Bang Shin-sil, winner of the E1 Charity Open, visited Good Neighbors, which supports vulnerable children through local children's centers and child care facilities, and delivered 50 million KRW in funds.

KLPGA donated goods worth about 1 million KRW and 2.2 million KRW in cash to the Geumcheon Girls Short-term Youth Shelter in Seoul. Executive Director Kim visited Changsin Mother and Child Home, which supports low-income homeless single-mother families, and St. Louise's Home, a nursing home for elderly women, sending 2 million KRW in funds and goods worth 1.5 million KRW, respectively. Bang Shin-sil said, "I am glad to participate in such a meaningful donation event," adding, "I hope the charity funds can have a positive impact on those in difficult circumstances and on society as a whole."
