Hampyeong-gun Holds 'Young Farmers Education and Discussion Meeting'

On the 20th, Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 22nd that it held the '2023 Young Farmers Education and Meeting' at the Theme Video Hall of Hampyeong-gun Expo Park to enhance the capabilities of young farmers.

This education and meeting were organized to promote the stable settlement of young farmers in farming and to cultivate a future-oriented agricultural mindset.

The event was attended by Lee Sang-ik, Mayor of Hampyeong-gun, young successor farmers selected from 2021 to 2023 in Hampyeong-gun, young farmers, research clubs, and residents, totaling 87 people.

The county invited Noh Yoon-hee, head of the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, as a lecturer to give a lecture on strategies to cultivate a competitive agricultural mindset, followed by Q&A sessions and presentations of cases by young farmer research clubs.

Mayor Lee Sang-ik said, "The future of Hampyeong agriculture depends on young farmers," adding, "We will do our best to continuously provide education and support measures for the settlement and income increase of young farmers."

Meanwhile, Hampyeong-gun plans to promote various projects in 2024 to help more young people settle as startup farmers, including not only the farming settlement fund support project but also ▲ establishment of young startup farms ▲ support for farmland purchase ▲ support for young farmer research clubs.
