Jung Jae-hyung, a watch repair master with 38 years of experience running a watch shop in Jongno-gu, Seoul, tried TV advertising for the first time to increase sales as customer visits declined. SK Broadband announced on the 22nd that the usage rate of 'B tv Uri-dongne Gwanggo,' which contributes to increasing small business owners' sales through AI and DX (digital transformation), has tripled compared to the previous year, receiving great response. 'B tv Uri-dongne Gwanggo' is a platform designed to help small business owners struggling with promotion easily run TV ads on B tv. Anyone can create ads simply by adding photos and text. It also provides advertising effect analysis reports. The advertising cost is very economical (minimum 100,000 KRW per month), reducing the burden on small business owners.
'B tv Uri-dongne Gwanggo,' which Mr. Jung uses for TV advertising, has been gaining popularity among small business owners since its launch in 2021. From January to September this year, its usage rate increased about threefold compared to the same period last year. According to SK Broadband's Sustainability Management Report (2022), the marketing competitiveness performance of small business owners through 'B tv Uri-dongne Gwanggo' amounts to approximately 830 million KRW.
SK Broadband recently introduced an AI commercial area analysis service to 'B tv Uri-dongne Gwanggo' for small business owners who have difficulty selecting effective advertising broadcast areas. Store owners can directly select several conditions such as ▲business type ▲advertising target age ▲gender ▲household ▲advertising exposure range (0~30 km), and AI recommends customized advertising areas. It also summarizes commercial area information such as the number of large apartment complexes with over 500 households nearby and population ratios by age group, which can be utilized for marketing.
SK Broadband also provides the 'On-AD' service, which allows small business owners to promote products offline. 'On-AD' is a media solution combining B tv and digital signage. In the future, SK Broadband plans to integrate AI into On-AD to analyze visitors' gender and age data in real time and deliver customized promotional content in stores, enhancing the service.
