Now a 'National Level'... Ulsan City Launches Special Training on Bedbug Control Guidelines

Disinfection Workers and Public Health Center Quarantine Staff Targeted

Joint Bedbug Task Force and Suspicious Report Center Operated

As bedbug infestations spread nationwide, Ulsan City has launched special training on control measures.


On the 22nd at 2:30 PM, Ulsan City announced that it will conduct a "Special Training on Bedbug Control Measures" at the Ulsan Museum Auditorium, attended by about 150 people including local pest control workers and public health quarantine personnel.


At the training, Professor Yang Young-cheol, a specialist from the Korea Pest Control Association, will explain the characteristics of bedbugs, monitoring methods, and comprehensive control techniques.


To proactively respond to the spread of bedbugs, Ulsan City established and has been operating the "Joint Bedbug Countermeasures Headquarters" since November 13, with the Director of the Citizen Health Bureau as the head.


The city is conducting an "Intensive Inspection and Control Period for Bedbugs (November 13 to December 8)" targeting vulnerable facilities such as lodging businesses and bathhouses, and operates six "Bedbug Suspicion Reporting Centers," including the Haewool Call Center and five district public health centers.
