Support Measures for Revitalizing Traditional Seafood Market Commercial Areas
BC Card announced on the 21st that it will hold an event to revitalize traditional markets targeting the Busan and Changwon areas to address the decline in seafood consumption and the crisis faced by fishermen.
First, until the 30th, customers who select the 'My Tag' section within the BC Card application (app) and make a payment of 20,000 KRW or more with a BC Card at a total of six markets in the Busan area (Jagalchi Hoe Center, Shindonga Hoe Center, Millak Hoe Town, Millak Seafood Market, Gwang-an Seafood Market, Gijang Market) will receive a 20% discount. This is available twice within the period, with a maximum discount limit of 30,000 KRW per transaction.
Additionally, a '30% discount on rechargeable card-type Onnuri gift certificates' is also being offered. The rechargeable card-type Onnuri gift certificate is a gift certificate in the form of a physical card payment method, where BC Card (credit or debit) is registered on the Onnuri gift certificate app and the amount is charged.
The 30% discount benefit is provided when paying 20,000 KRW or more after tagging My Tag. Eligible customers include those holding cards from Gyeongnam, IBK Industrial Bank, NH Nonghyup Bank, Daegu, Busan, Gwangju, Saemaeul Geumgo, Suhyup, Post Office, Shinhan Bank, Woori Card, Jeju, K Bank, and BC Baro Card.
Following Busan, the same benefits are available at three markets in the Changwon area (Seonchang Seafood Market Hoe Center, Yongwon New Port Hoe Center, Suhyup Seafood Live Fish Hoe Center).
Until the 31st of next month, a 20% discount benefit will be provided when paying 20,000 KRW or more with a BC Card after tagging My Tag. The '30% discount on rechargeable card-type Onnuri gift certificates' event will also be held in the same way.
Kim Ho-jung, Executive Director of BC Card, said, "We are holding a commercial district revitalization event not only to resolve the decline in seafood consumption and the crisis faced by fishermen but also to support traditional markets," adding, "We plan to actively participate in revitalizing local commercial districts through various small business support programs in the future."
