Incheon International Airport Corporation has taken steps to strengthen strategic cooperation with international organizations and overseas airports. On the afternoon of the 19th (local time), the corporation announced on the 21st that it had established cooperative relationships with the Airports Council International (ACI) and Vietnam Airports Corporation in Muscat, Oman.
Lee Hak-jae, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, attended the board meeting as a director of ACI Asia-Pacific. On the 19th, President Lee met with Luis Felipe de Oliveira, Secretary General of ACI World Headquarters, and agreed to participate in the pilot project of the global passenger experience improvement initiative, "Airport Share," promoted by ACI. This project is a program that allows passengers to check real-time congestion data of major airports through a mobile application (app).
Before the official service launch, ACI is collaborating with leading smart service airports, including Incheon Airport, to conduct pilot operations. Once the ACI Airport Share service officially launches in 2024, passengers will be able to check real-time passenger status data of major airports worldwide, including Incheon Airport, via the mobile app.

President Lee met with Duc Hong Nguyen, Vice President of Vietnam Airports Corporation, and signed a "Joint Promotion Cooperation Agreement to Increase Passenger Demand." Based on this, in the first quarter of next year, Incheon Airport and two airports in Vietnam (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh Airports) plan to promote joint promotions to increase passengers, such as cross-screening national tourism promotional videos. Building on this joint cooperation, plans are underway to collaborate with the Airports of Thailand and Istanbul Airport as well.
President Lee stated, "Due to the surge in global air travel demand following the COVID-19 endemic, the need for exchange and cooperation between overseas airports has increased more than ever. By expanding cooperative relationships with international organizations and overseas airports based on Incheon Airport’s excellent know-how in overcoming the COVID-19 crisis and successfully normalizing airport operations, we plan to lead a new airport paradigm suitable for the post-COVID-19 era."
