Seongbuk-gu Local Landmark Eoullim Sports Festival Opens as a Venue for Harmony Between Disabled and Non-Disabled

The Seongbuk-gu Disabled Sports Association (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) held the "2023 Seoul Seongbuk-gu Local Attractions Harmony Sports Festival" on the 18th.


Held at the Baram Madang in front of the Seongbuk-gu Office, the 2023 Seoul Seongbuk-gu Local Attractions Harmony Sports Festival consisted of visiting and experiencing local attractions firsthand, various cultural performances, a walking contest, and diverse sports experience activities, offering participants a wide range of sights, entertainment, and hands-on experiences.


Disabled and non-disabled attendees at this event visited Uireung and engaged in various activities and experiences throughout the day, sharing feedback that it was a great opportunity to understand each other and improve awareness of disabilities.


Additionally, the Seongbuk-gu athletes who won awards at the 43rd National Disabled Sports Festival expressed their gratitude to the residents.


Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu and also president of the Seongbuk-gu Disabled Sports Association, stated, “This event was planned as a cultural and sports event where disabled and non-disabled people can come together,” adding, “I hope that visiting and interacting at Seongbuk’s attractions will deepen affection for Seongbuk.”
