The Korea Exchange announced on the 20th that it has launched an online platform to support accounting tasks for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The platform compiles and categorizes various accounting information from related institutions such as the Financial Services Commission, Financial Supervisory Service, Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Korea Accounting Standards Board, Korea Listed Companies Association, and KOSDAQ Association, making it easy to view. A mobile version is also provided simultaneously, allowing users to easily access related materials via smartphones.
The platform consists of press releases, standards and Q&A documents distributed by the related institutions, accounting audit materials, educational resources, and online consultation and application services.
In the future, the platform plans to continuously add functions such as accepting applications for voluntary dispute resolution in accordance with revisions to external audit regulations and supporting fair value assessments. It will also listen to and reflect the opinions of SME accounting personnel.
A Korea Exchange official stated, "We expect that the accessibility and convenience of accounting information for SME accounting personnel will increase, and communication with the Accounting Support Center will become more active."
