On the 17th, Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon visited Daegu, sparking political speculation that it might be a move with an eye on running for office. In this context, Oh Shin-hwan, a member of the People Power Party's Innovation Committee, raised his voice, saying, "If he runs, he is a valuable asset to the party," and emphasized that he should make sacrifices in difficult regions.
On the 20th, Oh Shin-hwan said on YTN's "News King Park Ji-hoon," "If Minister of Justice Han decides and makes a resolution to take steps as a politician or run in next year's general election, wouldn't he be a necessary resource for the party?"

During his visit to Daegu on the 17th, Minister Han said, "I have always deeply respected the citizens of Daegu. I am very glad to be here." When asked about the speculation regarding his candidacy in next year's general election, he said, "The general election is certainly important for the lives of the people." This has led to speculation that his candidacy might be imminent.
Regarding this, Oh Shin-hwan said, "Because he is Minister Han, the media may have somewhat exaggerated the situation, and it seems that various kinds of public support and popularity he has were also involved. Although he went there to fulfill his role as Minister of Justice, I believe that his actions can also be interpreted politically."
On the speculation that he could be a replacement for former leader Lee Jun-seok, Oh said, "I am not sure whether he is a replacement, but Minister Han certainly has strengths. If our party utilizes those well and Minister Han takes on that role, he could serve as a valuable resource and play a role in the general election for the party."
When asked whether Minister Han would join the campaign committee, run as a proportional representative, or run in the metropolitan area if he joins the general election, Oh said, "Minister Han should also engage in fair competition, which we have emphasized as a fundamental principle." He added, "Since he has public support and recognition, if he takes on the role of going to so-called difficult regions and leads them to victory by making sacrifices, wouldn't that be of greater help to the party?"
