Rest Area with Drinking Fountain, Tables, and Restrooms Established in Jukjeon-dong
On the 20th, Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has created a rest area and restrooms along the Tancheon walking trail in the Jukjeon-dong 1070-40 area of Suji-gu and opened them to the public.
This project is part of Mayor Lee Sang-il's 8th term election pledges and has been underway since October last year with a city budget investment of 500 million KRW. Although this area, which includes facilities such as a skating rink, is a popular spot for local residents, it had been inconvenient due to the lack of restrooms.

The rest area, covering 21㎡, is equipped with a drinking fountain, tables, and chairs. Additionally, fences were installed at the entrance where the bicycle path meets to prevent collisions between bicycles and pedestrians. According to the city, Mayor Lee personally inspected the construction site in September and ordered the installation of the fences.
The rest area also features a dome-shaped aluminum ceiling coated with a special material that reduces heat conduction, and the men's and women's restrooms include facilities for the disabled, emergency safety bells, and air conditioning.
Mayor Lee stated, "We will continue to do our best to create a livable city where citizens can feel the advanced development of Yongin City in their daily lives."
