Gyeonggi Province will exhibit the outstanding works from the '3rd Gyeonggi-do Uri Aiji-kim Content Contest' from November 20 to 30 at Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office, Gyeonggi Human Resources Development Institute, and Next-Generation Convergence Technology Institute in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Week (November 19?25).

The Gyeonggi Women's Family Foundation, entrusted by Gyeonggi Province to carry out the 'Child Abuse Prevention Project,' held the 'Gyeonggi-do Uri Aiji-kim Content Contest' in September and October to raise awareness of respecting children's rights and to spread social consensus on preventing child abuse. The contest called for themed (drawing) and poster works.

Among 416 submissions from preschool and elementary school students in the province, the Women's Family Foundation selected 20 works for the Gyeonggi Governor's Award through expert evaluation (1 Grand Prize, 3 Excellence Awards, 6 Merit Awards, and 10 Encouragement Awards). The works exhibited this time are these award-winning pieces.

The Grand Prize was awarded to the drawing titled "I Know Everything, I Remember Everything," and the Excellence Awards went to the drawings and posters titled "Please Don't Scold Me, Cheer Me On," "I Like Round Hearts, I Dislike Pointy Hearts," and "Can't You Hear My Voice?"

Yu So-jeong, Director of the Gyeonggi Child Care Division, stated, "Respecting children as subjects of personality and rights and gathering interest and efforts from all members of society to guarantee children's rights will make child abuse prevention possible." She added, "We will continue to promote publicity projects, including exhibitions, to raise ongoing public interest in preventing child abuse."
