InBody Big Data Solution 'LB Trainer' Wins CES Innovation Award

InBody announced on the 17th that its big data solution 'LB Trainer' received the Innovation Award in the Sports & Fitness category at 'CES 2024,' the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition held in January next year.

The company explained, "This award recognizes the unparalleled technology of our 'hardware-based healthcare solution' on the global stage." They stated that they created a differentiated solution from other big data solutions worldwide based on big data accumulated over a long period through hardware for more than 27 years.

This is not InBody's first CES Innovation Award. However, while previous awards were for hardware such as the 'InBody Band (2015),' 'InBody Watch (2017),' and 'InBody970 (2020),' this is the first time the company has been recognized for a big data solution. The company said, "InBody, which pioneered a new market in the body composition analysis sector, has reached a second leap forward by newly pioneering the hardware-based body composition big data market.

LB Trainer is a healthcare solution designed for personal trainers. It operates using InBody's unique body composition data set and AI technology, consisting of over 100 million body composition data points and tracking data from more than 18 million people worldwide.

Its main features include AI body composition change prediction, posture measurement and evaluation, food detection, and quantity estimation. The AI body composition change prediction calculates muscle, fat, and circulation scores for the upper and lower body to predict weekly body composition changes based on exercise intensity, type, and goals. It operates by considering not only weight changes but also diet, exercise, and metabolic rate. This feature allows users to visualize data to see if they are effectively reaching their exercise goals, making training programs much easier.

LB Trainer is structured in an order suitable for trainers to provide focused consulting to a single member, from the first visit consultation, physical examination sequence, result confirmation, AI prediction, to recommended exercise and diet plans. The company is preparing for a sequential global launch starting with South Korea and the United States in the first half of next year.
