Shinsegae Group announced on the 17th that following the group's regular executive personnel reshuffle in September, it has implemented this subsequent organizational restructuring, believing that the direction for sustainable growth has been set through detailed organizational changes in each affiliate.

The new head of the Management Strategy Office will concurrently be held by Lim Young-rok, CEO of Shinsegae Property. Shinsegae Group explained that the appointment was based on Lim’s seven-year tenure as CEO of Shinsegae Property, during which he successfully established Starfield in the market and led collaboration with various affiliates within the group. The group also appointed Vice President Heo Byung-hoon as head of Management General and Vice President Kim Min-gyu as head of Management Support General.

Through this reorganization, Shinsegae Group aims to develop the Management Strategy Office into an organization that maximizes the management capabilities of the group’s top executives. Furthermore, by streamlining function-centered organizational efficiency, it plans to transfer operational functions to the field and coordinate and integrate the businesses of each affiliate, establishing the office as the group’s control tower organization. The Management Strategy Office is also expected to take on a control tower role for certain functions such as public relations, providing support to each affiliate.

Meanwhile, the position of CEO of Chosun Hotel & Resort, which was concurrently held by the new head of the Management Strategy Office, Lim Young-rok, will now be concurrently held by Lee Joo-hee, CEO of Shinsegae Construction Leisure Division. Kim Sun-ho, former head of the Strategy Office Support Headquarters, will move to become head of the Department Store Division Planning Strategy Headquarters, and Shin Dong-woo, former head of the Finance Headquarters, will take the position of head of the SCK COMPANY Strategy Planning Headquarters.
