SM Brand Marketing's flagship store Gwangya@Seoul celebrated its first anniversary on the 17th. It opened on November 17 last year in the basement level 1 of Acro Seoul Forest D Tower in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. With its unique space design and attractions and products utilizing IP content of K-POP artists, it surpassed 160,000 cumulative visitors within just one year of opening.
Gwangya@Seoul is a Metaversal Experience Brand where K-culture can be fully enjoyed without boundaries between reality and virtuality. It is a space that realizes the future entertainment world created together by celebrities, fandoms, and prosumers. It serves as a place to directly experience various IP (intellectual property) contents of K-pop artists and a new communication channel between artists and fandoms.
Notably, over 65% of Gwangya@Seoul’s total visitors are foreign tourists, coming from more than 50 countries worldwide. It has been consistently spotlighted as a representative tourist destination of Seongsu-dong and a new sacred site of K-POP in major overseas media. To commemorate the first anniversary, SM Brand Marketing will present a special anniversary Meta Passport stamp to customers visiting Gwangya@Seoul from the 17th to the 19th. Additionally, purchasers will receive scratch coupons for a chance to win prizes such as the Gwangya Fragrance, which embodies Gwangya’s identity in scent, Gwangya metal keyrings, and free photo frame printing vouchers.
