Korea Association of Certified Realtors Selects Actor Ko Gyupil as New 'Hanbang' App Model

The Korea Association of Realtors announced on the 16th that it will launch the real estate information platform application ‘Hanbang,’ enhanced with professionalism and convenience, on the 27th, and has signed an exclusive model contract with actor Ko Gyu-pil.

The Hanbang app is a real estate information platform directly developed and operated by the Korea Association of Realtors, the largest single association of professional license holders in the country. It is supported by 110,000 licensed realtors nationwide. It is expected to establish itself as Korea’s leading safe real estate platform that can prevent recent issues such as ‘jeonse damage’ and ‘false listings’ and protect the property rights of the public.

The association stated, “We selected the rising actor Ko Gyu-pil as the new model for the Hanbang app to vigorously promote the next-generation big data platform that aligns with the safety and public interest nature of real estate transactions,” adding, “We will strive for safe real estate transactions that the public desires.”

The new Hanbang app is characterized by being built in two versions: one for licensed realtors and one for the general public. It allows both realtors who register listings and consumers who use the app to conveniently utilize the platform.

In particular, it provides price appropriateness judgment information through ‘big data-based property analysis reports’ and enhances the reliability and safety of real estate listings by integrating with four major public registries, including the building register. The false listing filtering function has also been strengthened.

Currently, about 116,000 licensed realtors nationwide are voluntarily conducting a campaign to post safe listings on the association’s Hanbang app, so it is expected to hold the largest scale of real estate listing information among domestic real estate information apps.
