High school seniors will take the 2024 CSAT on the 16th from 8:40 AM to 5:45 PM.

On this day, 504,588 examinees took the test at 1,279 test centers across 84 testing districts nationwide.

This year’s CSAT, like last year, is conducted in an integrated humanities and sciences format with a 'common + elective subjects' structure in the Korean language and mathematics sections. In the inquiry section, students can choose up to two subjects from 17 social studies and science electives.

The test schedule is as follows: 1st period Korean language (08:40?10:00), 2nd period Mathematics (10:30?12:10), 3rd period English (13:10?14:20), 4th period Korean history and inquiry (14:50?16:37), and 5th period Second foreign language and Chinese characters (17:05?17:45).

Shim Ju-seok, a teacher at Incheon Haneul High School and an EBS instructor affiliated with the EBS On-site Teacher Group, stated at the 2024 CSAT mathematics analysis briefing held at the Government Sejong Complex on the 16th, “The test is very similar in composition to the mock exams held in June and September this year,” and analyzed, “A variety of questions with different difficulty levels were evenly distributed to sufficiently differentiate students from the top tier to the middle and lower tiers.”

He added, “While following the question-setting policy of the September mock exam this year, questions of appropriate difficulty were arranged considering the characteristics of the test-taking group,” and explained, “The test was designed to maintain discrimination at a level similar to the 2023 CSAT held last year.”

He further noted, “Questions that cause mistakes due to unnecessary concepts, questions not covered in the public education curriculum, and questions requiring excessive calculations were excluded, and highly discriminative questions based on the curriculum standards (achievement levels) were included.”

From immediately after the CSAT until the 20th, objections to questions and answers can be submitted through the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation website. CSAT scores will be individually notified to examinees on the 8th of next month.
