In particular, emphasis was placed on mastering advanced rescue techniques where rescuers use equipment such as ropes, pulleys, and descenders to quickly approach and rescue hikers in danger in special terrains like cliffs and valleys that are difficult to access on foot.

Chief Kim Suhwan said, "With the increase in hiking population, the risk of mountain safety accidents is also rising. Considering the characteristics and conditions of Jeju's mountainous terrain, we will develop various rescue techniques and provide the best rescue service through prompt response in case of mountain accidents."
