As usual this year, in front of the test sites, there were still cases where students confused their test locations or forgot their admission tickets, prompting parents to urgently deliver them. Parents and teachers continued to come to wish the examinees "good luck on the CSAT."
In front of Seoksan High School in Baegun-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, the 18th test site of the 26th district under the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, the earnest hearts of parents were so warm they could melt the November winter weather. Parents fed their children nutritional supplements inside their cars and checked if anything was missing, such as lunch boxes and admission tickets.
Although traffic police controlled vehicle stops by blowing whistles, they could not stop the parents' desire to cheer even for a second longer. Parents prayed or quietly cheered while watching their children enter the test site.
Meanwhile, many quick delivery motorbikes were seen delivering items that examinees had left behind. One student forgot their admission ticket, and the parent urgently sent it via quick delivery from home. There was even a delivery worker who brought slippers for a student who needed to wear slippers to create an environment similar to usual.
Also, this year, there was a student who confused 'Seoseok High School' with the test site due to similar pronunciation and safely arrived at the test site with the help of the police.
At around 7:50 a.m., when many examinees had already entered, a patrol car hurriedly stopped in front of the school gate after passing through traffic control. Soon after, Park (19) got out from the back door and hurriedly rushed in without even saying goodbye to his parents to meet the entry time.
Park, who usually gets very nervous, had planned to arrive at the test site early at 7 a.m. with his parents to relax and organize his thoughts, but he mistakenly went to Seoseok High School in Hwajeong-dong, Seo-gu, confusing it with the test site, and was helped by the police.
Watching Park run off in the distance, his parents cupped their hands near their mouths and shouted, "It's okay, don't be nervous! Just focus with confidence," reassuring him.
Marines in uniform visiting the test site also caught attention.
Lim (21), who is serving as a corporal in the Marines, took personal leave to take the 2024 CSAT.
Having lingering regrets about studying, he grabbed books whenever he could even during military service, and took the CSAT to reap the fruits of his efforts. Lim, who did not tell his parents about studying while serving in the military for fear they would worry, said, "After doing well on today's CSAT, I want to give my parents a good report card as a gift."
