Curly "Winter Snack Sales Up for Hoppang, Bungeoppang, and More"

Kurly announced on the 16th that the popularity of representative winter street snacks is increasing.


During the first half of this month, sales of steamed buns (Hoppang) on Market Kurly increased by 100% compared to the same period last year, while sales of hotteok and bungeoppang rose by 40% and 35%, respectively. As sudden cold weather continues along with high inflation, affordable and easy-to-prepare snacks at home are gaining popularity.

The ‘Kurly Only’ Milk Clever Mini Bungeoppang, sold since the end of 2019, is Market Kurly’s representative dessert product with over 120,000 reviews. Customers can choose from five flavors including red bean paste, custard cream, and chocolate. About 20 pieces are included for 7,900 won. Although small in size, it remains popular due to its rich filling.


Since Ip-dong (the start of winter) on the 8th, when the minimum temperature dropped below freezing, sales of skewered fish cakes have increased by 320% compared to the same period last year. The 6,800 won Whale Brand home-use skewered fish cake set includes 10 square fish cake skewers and 2 packs of fish cake soup sauce, making it convenient for sharing. The price is reasonable at about 680 won per piece.


Kurly is holding a ‘Winter Snack Festival’ event until the 23rd, offering up to 20% discounts on various winter snacks perfect for chilly weather, such as bungeoppang, skewered fish cakes, steamed buns, and honey sweet potatoes. Over 130 products are available, including cocoa and traditional teas that come to mind on cold days, as well as sweet ‘Halmaennial’ snacks to warm you up.
