Galleria Department Store Donates Clothing Worth 100 Million KRW to Underprivileged Groups in Gangnam-gu

Galleria Department Store announced on the 16th that it donated clothing worth 100 million KRW at the unveiling ceremony of the ‘2024 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign.’


The Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign is a public-private joint project between Gangnam-gu and the Community Chest of Korea. Galleria Department Store is the first donor organization for this event. Gangnam-gu’s fundraising goal is 3.7 billion KRW, and last year, the record-high amount of 4.344 billion KRW was raised.

The funds and goods collected through the event will be delivered to underprivileged groups such as low-income families and people with disabilities who need sharing. Galleria Department Store’s donated items will be distributed to low-income families through the Gangnam Food Support Center.


Attendees at the unveiling ceremony included Cho Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, Kang Shin-ho from the Luxury Pavilion business site, Kim Jae-rok, Chairman of the Seoul Community Chest of Korea, and Shim Gye-won, Chairman of the Gangnam Welfare Foundation. The Hope Ondol Warm Winter fundraising campaign will continue until February 14 next year.


A representative from Hanwha Galleria said, “We are honored to participate as the first donor organization in the year-end local sharing event,” adding, “We will continue to strive for the development of the local community and sharing management.”
