Snow Sledding Area and Snow World Also Prepared
High1 Resort has started artificial snowmaking operations with the goal of opening the ski resort on the 8th of next month, marking the start of the ski season, known as the "flower of winter sports."
According to High1 Resort on the 16th, High1 Ski Resort plans to operate a total of 15 slopes this year, beginning with the opening of the intermediate course 'Athena2' and the beginner course 'Athena3' slopes. The advanced courses 'Hera3, Apollo3·4·6' slopes will welcome general customers starting from February next year, after the 2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games. They will also operate a sledding hill and Snow World for family visitors. A sledding hill has been created in front of the Mountain Ski House near the condo accommodations so that customers can enjoy the snowy fields even when the lifts are not operating.
Starting the 2023?2024 ski season, High1 Resort will hold a special event on the opening day where anyone can enjoy a 50% discount on lift tickets and equipment rental for 10,000 KRW. In addition, after the season ends in March next year, the 'Spring Mogul' slope will be operated for a month to allow visitors to enjoy the lingering excitement of the ski season.
Jung Byung-sun, Head of Leisure Sales at Kangwon Land, said, "We are making thorough preparations by producing a large amount of artificial snow, considering the relatively long slope lengths and customer safety," adding, "We hope everyone will create precious memories on High1’s snowy fields at an altitude of 1,340 meters this winter."
