Grand Korea Leisure (GKL), which operates the foreigner-only casino 'Seven Luck,' is acting as the 'K-Tourism Cooperation Group' for the 2023-2024 Visit Korea Year as a public tourism corporation. Through various campaigns aimed at foreigners to promote the excellence of our culture, it is supporting the government's plan to usher in an era of 30 million inbound tourists by 2027.

According to GKL on the 16th, the company's mass marketing team recently held a cooking class event for making the traditional Korean snack 'Yakgwa' for Seven Luck foreign supporters and members of the Korea Tourism Organization's global Hallyu community (K-friends). It was an occasion to promote K-culture and the Seven Luck brand.

The event was attended by foreigners of various age groups, from university students to middle-aged participants. They were introduced not only to the method of making Yakgwa but also to its origins and the history of traditional Korean snacks.

A foreign participant from Russia said, "I have visited Seven Luck Casino before, so I often participate in other events hosted by Seven Luck," adding, "The Yakgwa cooking class helped me understand Korean traditional culture and allowed me to feel a connection to Korea." He also added, "I hope there will be more experiential events like this that can broaden perspectives on Korean culture."
