You Can View Total Appearance Counts and Appearance Record Status
Recently, as fear of bedbugs has spread, a 'Bedbug Status Board' that allows people to identify bedbug infestation sites has been released. The person who created it was a 29-year-old office worker.
According to a YTN interview on the 14th, Kang Jae-gu (29), who works in blockchain-related tasks at LG CNS Service Team, started developing the Bedbug Board on the 4th as bedbug fear grew into a social issue, and unveiled it on the 9th.
The Bedbug Board covers daily, weekly, monthly, and total infestation counts, infestation areas, and related news articles.
In particular, it introduces infestation dates and locations by region along with a bedbug area map, providing great help to those sensitive to bedbugs.
Kang said the reason for creating the Bedbug Board was, "I have a very sensitive constitution to insects, to the extent that I use mosquito nets all year round. After seeing news about bedbugs, I felt anxious and thought I should gather information about bedbug infestations myself."
He added, "While informing citizens is the top priority, I hope it does not harm businesses, so I provide locations excluding business names."
Regarding bedbug reports, he said, "I post almost all of them on the site, but hold back those with low credibility."
Kang also said, "I will create a mobile app for free use. Since people who come after seeing bedbugs might need insecticides, I put up insecticide ads. If purchased, a certain commission comes in, but so far I have earned about 450 won."
He concluded, "Since I started with the goal of zero bedbugs, I plan to operate only until the bedbugs calm down."
