[Click eStock] "Infinite Healthcare Reassessed as a Platform Equipped with AI Medical Solutions"

ResearchAlum noted that the need for Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for utilizing medical imaging-based big data is growing, especially in tertiary hospitals, and predicted that Infinite Healthcare will benefit from this trend.

Infinite Healthcare is the leading company in the domestic PACS market share. It was the first in Korea to launch a solution that integrates a medical data integration platform (VNA) with artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The company is developing next-generation solutions that support medical institutions in using this data to provide AI diagnostics and personalized patient care.

PACS is a system that stores, manages, and transmits medical images generated in hospitals. Instead of traditional film, it digitizes images acquired from medical devices such as X-rays according to international standards (DICOM, HL7, IHE, etc.) and stores them on servers. This reduces cost burdens and allows medical staff to conveniently view and interpret medical images via PCs or mobile devices.

Kim Jaemu, a researcher at ResearchAlum, stated, "Infinite Healthcare has launched PACS products specialized for Radiology, Cardiology, Orthopedic, and Dentistry departments," and added, "With the advancement of CT technology, the capability to implement three-dimensional medical imaging is also included in PACS."

He continued, "They possess proprietary AI solutions," and added, "There is also potential for collaboration with various AI diagnostic solution companies."

He explained, "The Doctor Answer development project is a consortium-led initiative driven by the Ministry of Science and ICT and NIPA to develop AI-based precision medical solutions, involving 30 hospitals including Bundang Seoul National University Hospital and Samsung Seoul Hospital, as well as 19 ICT companies such as Lunit and Infinite Healthcare." He added, "Following the successful Doctor Answer 1.0, they participated in Doctor Answer 2.0, leading AI diagnostic software development," emphasizing, "Integrating AI diagnostic solutions into Infinite Healthcare’s platform to provide efficient diagnostic workflows will serve as a core competitive advantage."
