Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) has prepared special traffic measures in anticipation of the 2024 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) to be held on November 16, and is making every effort to ensure that examinees can take the exam in the best possible condition on the test day.
First, the district has established the 'Dobong-gu Traffic Countermeasures Situation Room' within the Traffic Administration Division of the district office, which will operate from 6 PM to midnight on November 15, the day before the exam, and from 6 AM to 10 AM on the exam day. It will oversee parking order around the test sites, traffic support, emergency transport vehicles, and prepare for any emergency situations.
For examinees using public transportation, the interval between village bus dispatches will be adjusted for concentrated operation from 6 AM to 8:10 AM, and buses passing by the test sites will have identification signs indicating their route to the test sites attached, along with announcements at bus stops to prevent confusion among examinees.
Additionally, from 6 AM to 9 AM, 14 district administrative vehicles and 26 vehicles from transportation companies (Donghwa Transport, Model Taxi, Marine Corps Veterans Association) will be deployed at Ssangmun Station, Chang-dong Station, Banghak Station, and Dobongsan Station to assist examinees in moving to nearby test sites.
To ensure the safe entry of examinees into the test sites, construction times including road excavation around the test sites will be adjusted, and any obstacles hindering traffic will be cleared. Furthermore, district staff will be separately assigned to facilitate smooth vehicle movement and maintain traffic order, conducting guidance and enforcement against illegal parking and stopping. In particular, vehicle entry and exit will be restricted and parking prohibited within 200 meters of the test sites.
From 1 PM to 1:35 PM, during the third period foreign language (English) section, water spraying vehicles will be prohibited to minimize noise at the test sites, and noise from nearby construction sites will be controlled.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “All examinees who have spent their days repeatedly preparing for this one day of the CSAT have worked hard. The district will do its best to ensure that all examinees can take the exam in the best possible condition.”
