AFP reported on the 13th (local time) that the death toll at Al-Shifa Hospital, the largest medical facility in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, has exceeded 30.
A representative from the Gaza Strip Ministry of Health, governed by the Palestinian armed group Hamas, told AFP on the same day, "The death toll has risen to 34 since the weekend."
The deceased are reported to include 27 adults and 7 infants.
Major foreign media outlets reported that the death toll at Al-Shifa Hospital is over 32, including 3 premature babies.
The death toll figures have not been verified by external organizations.
The hospital claims that due to continuous airstrikes and ground battles by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), who are at war with Hamas, the hospital's electricity and fuel supplies have been cut off, putting patients in a dangerous condition.
On the other hand, the IDF continues its offensive, stating that Hamas has established military bases in tunnels beneath the hospital and is using civilians as 'human shields.'
