Conflict Among 5·18 Groups Escalates to Physical Altercation... Two Members Booked

Members of the 5·18 public service organizations who engaged in a physical altercation over office access have been booked.

The Gwangju Seobu Police Station announced on the 13th that they have booked A (63), a member of the 5·18 Injured Veterans Association, and B (65), a member of the 5·18 Meritorious Persons Association, on charges of assault (grabbing the collar and assault).

They are accused of grabbing each other's collars and kicking each other in the office of the 5·18 Meritorious Persons Association in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, on the 9th.

According to the police investigation, A became enraged after seeing the phrase "No entry for Injured Veterans Association members" posted at the entrance of the Meritorious Persons Association office and got into a dispute with B.
