Neowiz announced on the 13th that it has made a strategic investment in the Polish game developer 'BLANK sp.z.o.o (hereinafter BLANK)'. The investment amount is $17 million (approximately 22.4 billion KRW). The acquired stake is 21.26%.
Founded in 2023, BLANK is a newly established developer co-founded by four individuals: Mateusz Kanik, J?drzej Murs, Marcin J?fimow, and Mikołaj Marhebska. They are core members of 'CD Projekt Red (hereinafter CDPR)', the globally renowned creators of the 'Witcher' series and 'Cyberpunk 2077'.

Mateusz served as co-game director of 'The Witcher 3' and game and design director of 'Cyberpunk 2077'. J?drzej and Marcin took on the roles of product director and executive producer, respectively, for these projects. Mikołaj has served as an advisor and auditor for various development studios and was the CEO of the game developer 'Rookiez from Warsaw'. Other key developers are also former CDPR members who have worked closely together for years. They are veteran developers with extensive experience in developing AAA games for PC and consoles.
This investment aims to achieve results in the overseas console market. Having made a full-scale entry into the North American and European markets with 'P's Falsehood', Neowiz plans to strategically collaborate with BLANK to provide new experiences to global gamers. In particular, BLANK is considered an optimal partner due to its excellent know-how in developing and operating globally successful games. BLANK has begun developing a AAA console survival adventure game set in a world collapsed by artificial intelligence (AI) apocalypse.
'P's Falsehood', released last September, surpassed 1 million cumulative sales within a month. More than 90% of the revenue is generated overseas, achieving significant results in the global market. Neowiz is making console games a core part of its business by reorganizing its internal development teams and expanding its own lineup. Additionally, it is actively investing in capable overseas developers to explore business opportunities.
Kim Seung-cheol, co-CEO of Neowiz, said, "Collaboration with BLANK will be an important opportunity to create synergy for both companies," and added, "We will continue to strive to secure competitive development studios and diverse business opportunities."
