Creating a Comfortable and Safe Environment for Pregnant Women
Ensuring Full Support for Pregnancy and Childbirth
Lee Sang-hoon, Vice Mayor of Sacheon City, visited Cheonga Women's Clinic located in Beolli-dong, which is about to open a delivery obstetrics and gynecology department, to conduct a final inspection of the preparations for welcoming babies.
On the 10th, Vice Mayor Lee visited Cheonga Women's Clinic and toured the labor room, delivery room, operating room, and recovery room on the 2nd floor, as well as the inpatient rooms and family delivery rooms on the 3rd floor.
Vice Mayor Lee said, "As the low birthrate issue becomes increasingly serious, Gyeongsangnam-do and Sacheon City are promoting support projects to revive essential medical fields. Please ensure the delivery obstetrics and gynecology department opens perfectly so that pregnant women can experience pregnancy and childbirth in a comfortable and safe environment."
Deputy Mayor Lee Sang-hoon is visiting the obstetrics and gynecology department to check the preparation status for childbirth.
Cheonga Women's Clinic is a medical institution operating a delivery obstetrics and gynecology department for the first time in 12 years in the Sacheon area. It has been designated by Gyeongnam Province as a base medical institution in medically underserved areas to resolve delivery blind spots.
Equipped with the latest medical equipment, the clinic staffs two doctors, three nurses, and five nursing assistants who are always on duty to operate a 24-hour delivery operating room, as well as running family delivery rooms to reduce the inconvenience of movement for pregnant women.
Additionally, throughout the entire delivery process, husbands and family members can participate to experience family love and unity, and share the emotional moment when the father personally cuts the umbilical cord after the baby is born.
In particular, the clinic also operates a mother-baby room where the mother and newborn can spend time together in one room after childbirth, fully preparing to help foster the attachment relationship between mother and baby.
Vice Mayor Lee urged, "Since this is a space where pregnant women stay for about 2 to 3 days, or up to a week after childbirth, please pay special attention to making it a place where mothers and babies can safely give birth and comfortably spend the postpartum period."
Kim Jong-chun, Director of Cheonga Women's Clinic, stated, "We are grateful to Gyeongsangnam-do and Sacheon City for enabling us to provide advanced medical equipment and comfortable inpatient spaces, and we will do our best to provide the best medical services to pregnant women who visit after the opening."
