PGA Bermuda Championship 3R Adds 2 Under Par

Seung-yul Noh failed to leap into the mid-tier ranks.
On the 11th (local time), he shot a 2-under-par 69 in the third round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship (total prize money $6.5 million) of the PGA Tour, held at Port Royal Golf Course (par 71, 6,828 yards) in Southampton, Bermuda. He recorded 7 birdies, 3 bogeys, and 1 double bogey. He improved his ranking by 6 spots compared to the previous day. His greens in regulation rate was 72.22%, but his fairway hit rate was only 50%. Noh Seung-yul's best performance this season was a tie for 15th place at the RSM Classic last November.
Alex Noren (Sweden) posted a 4-under-par round to maintain his lead for the third consecutive day (19-under-par 194 strokes). The 41-year-old Noren has won 10 times on the DP World Tour (formerly the European Tour) but has yet to win on the PGA Tour. His FedEx Cup ranking this season is 86th. If he wins this tournament, he can jump to 52nd place.
Camilo Villegas (Colombia) is in 2nd place (18-under-par 195 strokes), Ryan Moore is tied for 3rd (17-under-par 196 strokes), Stewart Cink (both USA) is 5th (16-under-par 197 strokes), and Adam Scott (Australia) is tied for 6th (15-under-par 198 strokes), all eyeing a comeback. Adam Long (USA), who set a new record for 69 consecutive holes hitting the fairway, lowered his score by 6 strokes to rise to a tie for 11th place (14-under-par 199 strokes). Kang Sung-hoon remained outside the top 100 the previous day and was cut off.
