Damyang-gun and Jin International Co., Ltd. Sign Investment Agreement for 'Eater Center Development Project'

Investment of 741.4 Billion Won by 2026, Data Center to be Established in Samman-ri Area, Damyang-eup

On the 9th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 10th that it signed an investment agreement (MOU) with Jin International Co., Ltd. (Chairman Kim Jeong-jae) for the tentative 'Korea Health and Medical Data Center Construction Project' to be established in the Samman-ri area of Damyang-eup.


Through this agreement, the county will support administrative procedures and promotion to ensure the smooth progress of the project, and Jin International Co., Ltd. will cooperate in the industrial development and job creation of Damyang-gun.

Jin International Co., Ltd. plans to invest 741.4 billion KRW by 2026 to build a data center on a 55,642㎡ site at San 41-3, Samman-ri, Damyang-eup, consisting of 4 above-ground floors with a total area of 25,000 pyeong.


This facility will integrate and manage data in the fields of health, medical care, telecommunications, and finance.


The data center is expected to create about 150 jobs.


The establishment of the data center aims to lay the foundation for attracting related companies and developing into a hub for the information and communication technology service industry.


A data center refers to a facility that integrates and manages equipment necessary for providing information and communication technology services, such as computers, servers, networks, and storage devices.


With the recent development of cutting-edge information and communication technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence, the importance of data centers is also increasing.


County Governor Lee Byeong-no said, “The establishment of the data center, a core infrastructure of the 4th Industrial Revolution, is expected to increase local employment and revitalize the economy,” adding, “We will spare no administrative support for its successful establishment.”
