Lithuanian Central Bank Visits Toss Bank... "Support for European Expansion"

Focus on Toss Bank's Innovation and Growth Potential

The Bank of Lithuania and the Lithuanian Investment Agency visited Toss Bank to discuss building a partnership. On the 10th, Toss Bank announced that on the 9th, Lukas Jakubonis, Chief Business Officer of the Bank of Lithuania, along with representatives from the Lithuanian Investment Agency and the Embassy of Lithuania in Korea, totaling four people, visited Toss Bank's headquarters in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Toss Bank and the Lithuanian officials discussed future networking and partnership opportunities. The Lithuanian side evaluated Toss Bank's innovation and growth over the past two years as an internet-only bank as a successful model. They introduced the economic and institutional support that could be provided if Toss Bank enters the European market.

Lithuania is a country where the financial and digital industries have developed through national support. The UK digital bank Revolut also chose Lithuania as a foothold for its entry into the EU market.

A Toss Bank official stated, "This was an opportunity to consider the European market based on the scale of growth and innovation Toss Bank has achieved over two years," and added, "We will build a continuous relationship with Lithuania based on this discussion."
