Expectations for Increased Exports of Popular Agricultural Products such as Apples, Baechu, and Shine Muscat
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held export consultation meetings at the Yeongdeok-gun Agricultural Technology Center on the 2nd and 6th of this month, inviting Taiwanese buyers to expand exports of local fresh agricultural products in collaboration with Raon Agricultural Corporation.
Yeongdeok-gun held an export consultation meeting attended by Taiwan Grand SA and local agricultural producers.
The export consultation meetings were attended by representatives from Grand Crop, a Taiwanese fresh agricultural product importer, officials from Raon Agricultural Corporation, the Yeongdeok-gun apple export cooperative, and the Shine Muscat cultivation group. They conducted export-related consultations and visited agricultural production sites and sorting facilities to inspect and confirm the excellence of Yeongdeok-gun’s fresh agricultural products.
On the second session held on the 6th, one-on-one export consultations were held between representatives from Chun Son in Taiwan and the Yeongdeok-gun cabbage export cultivation group. They visited cabbage farms in full harvest season, providing an opportunity to deepen understanding and trust in cabbage, which is highly popular in Taiwan.
Participants in the consultation meetings discussed various matters such as the realities of the Taiwanese market, product trends, packaging methods, directions for product improvement, and the development of export channels. They showed a consistently serious and proactive attitude, raising expectations for a positive outlook on the expansion of Yeongdeok-gun agricultural product exports.
Yeongdeok-gun plans to invite Taiwanese buyers once more within this year to hold another export consultation meeting. Additionally, representatives from export companies and farming households will be dispatched to Taiwan for buyer consultations, promotional events, and field tours, actively pioneering overseas sales channels for local fresh agricultural products.
