The event held at the intersection near Hanbit Middle School involved the Namwon City School Operation Committee Chairpersons Association, officials from the Namwon City Office of Education (Superintendent Shin Byung-ki), faculty and students of Namwon Hanbit Middle School (Principal Choi Yong-ho), who distributed promotional materials related to school violence prevention to students on their way to school.
A representative of the Namwon City School Operation Committee Chairpersons Association stated, “It is much more important to prevent school violence in advance rather than to respond quickly and wisely after it occurs, so we decided to promote this campaign to ensure that the precious school life of children can be remembered as happy and enjoyable memories.”
Meanwhile, the student council officers of Hanbit Middle School who attended the event regularly conduct their own campaigns by holding placards during students’ arrival at school as part of school violence prevention efforts.
