Gwangju-Jeonnam Venture Business Association and Gwangju-Jeonnam Women Venture Association Jointly Hosted
Meaningful Event Providing Courage to Overcome Economy and Innovative Insights
The Gwangju-Jeonnam Venture Business Association (President Kim Myung-sul) and the Gwangju-Jeonnam Women’s Venture Association (President Kim Hyun-hwa) jointly held the ‘2023 Gwangju-Jeonnam Innovation Growth Venture Forum’ at the Ramada Plaza Chungjang Hotel on the 8th, the associations announced on the 9th.
This is the second time this year, following last year. The ‘2023 Gwangju-Jeonnam Innovation Growth Venture Forum’ was held as part of a win-win cooperation and network strengthening initiative among the two leading venture industry organizations in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region, Jeonnam Province, and the Gwangju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency (Director Lee Kyung-joo).
Despite the recent series of adverse conditions faced by local companies, the event was regarded as a meaningful opportunity to provide courage and innovative insights to entrepreneurs striving to overcome economic challenges.
About 100 members from both associations attended, including Cho Jong-rae, head of the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration, Joo Hyun-kyung of the Korea Women’s Venture Business Association, Vice President Lee Chan-hee, Lee Chang-ho, head of the Small and Medium Business Central Association Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters, and Kim Sung-tae, head of the Korea Technology Finance Corporation Honam Regional Headquarters.
At the special lecture, Yoon Jung-ho, CEO of Yuno Partners Co., Ltd., introduced the digital business trends and the evolution of innovative technologies in the DT era, highlighting excellent cases of digital technology competitiveness using AI and big data by global DT innovation companies. He added that the global business environment is entering an era dominated by generative AI, AI, and big data.
He also discussed the latest technology trends of global innovative companies utilizing AI and data in business, exploring what these trends mean for us, and providing innovative insights by deeply examining the flow and trends of these world-changing digital technologies and considering what preparations we need to make. His lecture received great acclaim.
CEO Yoon graduated from Sungkyunkwan University with an MBA and has served as a senior consultant at ROA Consulting and SoftBank Research & Consulting. He is also active in job training and consulting for major corporations and mid-sized companies, including the Venture Business Association, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and Hanwha Group.
Presidents Kim Myung-sul and Kim Hyun-hwa pledged, “Although the number of local venture companies has recently decreased and the regional economic situation has not easily recovered amid recent adversities, let us unite our strengths, cultivate our capabilities, and wisely overcome these challenges with an innovative mindset.”
They added, “Through this event, we aim to expand regular exchanges in the future and utilize the human infrastructure and networks of both associations as an opportunity to foster the development and ecosystem of the local venture industry.”
Meanwhile, the Gwangju-Jeonnam Venture Forum serves as an educational program introducing the latest technologies and products, sharing live success stories of local small and medium venture companies, industry and economic trends, and venture business trends. It provides business insights through idea sharing and human networking.
