'P-ui Geojit' Drives Sales... Neowiz Records Operating Profit of 20.2 Billion KRW in Q3

Neowiz's 'P-ui Geojit' drove the third-quarter performance.

Neowiz announced on the 9th that it recorded 117.5 billion KRW in sales and 20.2 billion KRW in operating profit for the third quarter. These figures represent increases of 57% and 286%, respectively, compared to the same period last year. Net profit reached 18.2 billion KRW, growing 123% year-over-year.

Sales in the PC and console game segment rose 69% year-over-year to 54.8 billion KRW. The game 'P-ui Geojit,' which surpassed 1 million cumulative sales in October, led the revenue growth. Sales distribution for P-ui Geojit consists of 65% console and Steam digital downloads and 35% physical packages. Over 90% of sales were concentrated in overseas markets such as North America, Europe, and Japan. Stable growth is expected due to the global success of P-ui Geojit.

Mobile game sales increased 58% year-over-year to 53.2 billion KRW. This growth reflects the performance of 'Brown Dust 2,' released in June, along with the full-year contribution of mobile MMORPG specialist developer 'Pow Games,' acquired in May.

Other sales slightly increased compared to the previous year due to higher advertising revenue from the subsidiary 'T&K Factory.'

Neowiz plans to expand its IP (intellectual property) and actively develop new IP games based on strong narratives.

First, P-ui Geojit revealed a roadmap on November 1, announcing plans to release over 60 music tracks and develop DLC (downloadable content) to expand the story. The company has also started developing a sequel, preparing for a long-term hit trajectory.

New titles utilizing famous Japanese IPs are also in preparation. Mobile games based on Japanese animation IPs such as 'Bonobono,' 'Konjiki no Gash!!,' and 'Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?' will be released sequentially.

Additionally, the subsidiary Pow Games' collectible RPG 'The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy' will be introduced to users for the first time at this year's G-Star. 'Sannabi' will be officially released on Steam and Nintendo Switch on the same day, expected to drive performance.
