Hwasuncheon Flower River Road Music Fountain Ends Performances on 18th, Promises Return Next Year

Expected Reopening Around April-May Next Year

Fountain Operation May Be Canceled Depending on Weather Conditions (Rain, Strong Winds) on the Day

Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 8th that the Hwasuncheon Flower River Road 'Music Fountain,' which opened at the end of October, will enter its winter break after the performance on the 18th.


The county invested 12.3 billion KRW starting with the groundbreaking ceremony in February 2023 to create an ecological and cultural tourism stream where various attractions, healing, and rest coexist.

The Hwasuncheon Flower River Road 'Music Fountain' features a 60m long, 10m wide musical water tank, a cannon shooter with a maximum height of 50m, 681 nozzles, 263 LED underwater lights, and a beam projector. Together with the plaza, spectator seats, cosmos walking path, and splendid scenery and lighting, it serves as a new regional landmark and a cultural resting space for the residents of Hwasun-gun.


The music fountain performances are scheduled once on weekdays (7:00 PM) and twice on weekends (6:30 PM and 7:30 PM) until the 18th, but performances may be canceled depending on weather conditions such as rain or strong winds.


The reopening next year is expected around April to May after a maintenance period.


A county official stated, “We plan to continuously improve the site by adding food trucks and incorporating various events such as street performances (busking), creating a romantic and fantastic nighttime scenery, and making it a perfect photo spot.”
