The Sweet Flavor Enhanced with Maple Syrup Included Separately
Paldo announced on the 8th that the ‘Paldo Bibimmyun Autumn Edition’ sold out within three weeks of its release.
According to Paldo, with all 1 million units of the Autumn Edition sold out, all seasonal limited editions launched since the 2018 ‘Winter Edition’ have achieved complete sell-outs. The cumulative sales volume of limited edition products has reached 30 million units.
The Bibimmyun Autumn Edition, introduced by Paldo last month, features a separate packet of maple syrup. The maple syrup not only adds sweetness but also enhances the unique ‘spicy, tangy, and sweet’ flavor of Bibimmyun, adding umami. Paldo’s research team developed this product by referring to social media (SNS) recipes that enjoy Bibimmyun with various toppings and fruit sauces.
Paldo pioneered the cold ramen market and has led the domestic Bibimmyun market through products with diverse concepts. In particular, the seasonal limited edition series is regarded as a case that actively broke the perception that Paldo Bibimmyun’s peak season is summer.
As consumer demand for unique limited edition products continues to grow, Paldo plans to lead market expansion with distinctive Bibimmyun varieties. Yoon In-kyun, Paldo’s marketing manager, said, “With its unique spicy, tangy, and sweet taste, we have long provided consumers with the joy of eating,” adding, “As the leader of the Bibimmyun market, we will continue to lead market expansion with products featuring unique flavors and concepts.”
