[Concall] KT "Electricity Costs Up Double Digits YoY... Efforts to Reduce Expenses"

Kim Young-jin, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of KT, stated during the Q3 earnings conference call on the 7th, "Due to the steep increase in electricity costs, there was a double-digit rise compared to the previous year. However, we are striving to reduce costs through structural improvements by optimizing telecommunications equipment and stations, such as early removal of energy-inefficient equipment."

He also said, "We are promoting overall business cost reduction by applying artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation (DX) technologies to our operations. Moving forward, we will continue to improve costs by enhancing efficiency and productivity through structural improvements."
